Luxury Contemporary
Whitefield, Bengaluru • 2023
Ivory Retreat began with a simple brief: a home generous enough to host extended family yet intimate enough for daily life. The Whitefield villa spans four bedrooms across two floors, with the ground floor given over almost entirely to social and family spaces.
Renova Studio anchored the interiors in an ivory and warm-gold palette, introducing texture through fluted marble panels, handwoven rugs, and custom brass fixtures that age beautifully. High ceilings were used deliberately — the double-height living room draws in afternoon light and anchors the home visually.
Custom millwork runs through every room, from the built-in library wall in the study to the bespoke wardrobe systems in all four bedrooms, keeping the palette consistent and surfaces clear throughout.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you design a large villa without it feeling impersonal?
Scale is controlled through material warmth, layered lighting, and furniture groupings that create distinct zones within an open plan. A consistent palette unifies the home while individual rooms are given their own character through textiles, art, and bespoke pieces.
What is the advantage of custom millwork over off-the-shelf furniture?
Custom millwork is designed to the exact dimensions and use-case of each room, so storage and joinery integrate seamlessly into the architecture. It also allows for a consistent material and hardware language across the entire home.
How long did Ivory Retreat take from concept to handover?
A full-home villa project of this scale — spanning design development, custom manufacturing, procurement, and on-site execution — typically runs between five and seven months from the first consultation to final handover.
Can natural stone like marble be used throughout a villa cost-effectively?
Yes — we use marble as a feature element in high-impact areas (accent walls, islands, bathroom surfaces) and balance it with engineered stone or high-quality laminates elsewhere, giving the visual richness of natural stone without applying it wall-to-wall.
